Nigeria’s Super Eagles will take on Colombia in an international friendly on Tuesday, November 18, at Citi Field, Queens, New York, as part of preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The venue confirmed the fixture on Thursday via social media, adding that ticket sales will begin on Monday, September 30, 2025.

Colombia, ranked 14th in the FIFA world rankings and already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, will use the encounter as part of their two-match United States tour.
Néstor Lorenzo’s men will first face New Zealand in Fort Lauderdale on November 15, before heading north to New York to battle Nigeria.
For the Super Eagles, the clash with Colombia is the second of two friendlies lined up in November.
They will begin against Venezuela in Houston on November 14 before meeting the South Americans four days later.
Both games are key tune-ups ahead of AFCON 2025 in Morocco, where Nigeria open their campaign against Tanzania on December 23 in Fez.
The Queens showdown will mark only the third time Nigeria and Colombia have met.
Their most recent encounter was a 1-1 draw in Milton Keynes in 2010, when Lukman Haruna equalized Carlos Valdés’ opener. Their first meeting dates back to 1994.
Nigeria head into the fixtures in a competitive mood, with World Cup qualifying still on the horizon.
The three-time African champions sit third in Group C after September’s narrow win over Rwanda and a spirited draw with South Africa.
Upcoming matches against Lesotho and Benin in October will be decisive before attention shifts to the November friendlies.
Colombia, on the other hand, travel with confidence, having secured their World Cup ticket with games to spare.
