Kanu Heart Foundation to Hold World Heart Day Health Walk in Owerri

On September 29th, 2025, Owerri, the capital of Imo State in Nigeria, will witness a remarkable event – the Kanu Heart Foundation (KHF) World Heart Day Health Walk.

This event is set to raise awareness about heart health and the work of the foundation in providing free heart checkups and treatment for the less privileged.

The event will be led by none other than the legendary footballer and Enyimba Chairman, Kanu Nwankwo, who is also the founder of KHF.

KHF was founded in 2000, with the aim of helping children with heart diseases. Over the years, the foundation has become the biggest donor of heart treatment in Nigeria and Africa, providing free surgeries and treatments to over 600 children.

The KHF World Heart Day Health Walk is a part of their efforts to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy heart and to help those in need of heart-related treatments.
