Ajax FC U17 were held to a 2-2 draw by the last season runner up of the Mama of Africa U17 football scouting invitational tournament in a highly competitive semi-final encounter on Saturday in IFO, as both teams intensified to reach the final.
Femmco FC U17 made a bright start and broke the deadlock in the 5th minute. Adu Segun capitalises on the defensive error, powering a firm lob beyond Ajax FC U17 goalkeeper to hand the “no pain, no gain” side the lead.

Ajax FC U17 responded quickly in the 7th minute, Austin pounced on a defensive lapse, ran through the opponent backline and calmly slotted past goalkeeper Ogooluwa Adelana to restore parity.
The white and red side fans still celebrating the leveller, Austin took to the same direction to push for the lead in the 11th minutes, scoring the third in two games.
The second half began with intense pressure from Femmco FC U17 but Samson Adekunle produced was too quick to deny the opponent in several occasions
Coach Oladehinde Adebayo boys sought to re-establish control of the game as he introduced Waris Makinde and Akanji Jibola to replace Oyebanji Timothy and Samuel Adelani to test the depth of his squad.
The substitutions gave the final third another attacking strength for Femmco FC, as they got a lifeline free kick in the four additional minutes signalled by the fourth official. Samson Adekunle was helpless as the deflection through the free kick taken by Ayodeji Ahmed draw levels 2-2.
