Ikorodu City FC have officially announced that left-back Harrison Austin Uzondu has secured a permanent move to Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC, stepping into European football following a standout season in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Uzondu, who featured prominently for Ikorodu City last season, has already begun training with his new Wolfsberger teammates.

His strong performances in the NPFL last term earned him a call‐up to Nigeria’s squad for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) as part of the Home-based Eagles, showcasing his talent on a wider stage.
Ikorodu City took to their official X (formerly Twitter) platform to wish Uzondu well in Austria, saying: “Since inception in 2022, you’ve been around and showing quality. It’s time for another journey. Goodluck in Wolfsberger AC. Harrison Austin Uzondu. Keep shining.”
This move marks a huge leap for Uzondu, who until now has established himself in Nigeria’s top flight, known for his defensive capability from left-back and ability to play centrally when needed.
For Wolfsberger AC, acquiring a talented young player from the NPFL continues their trend of scouting emerging talents from Africa, offering them exposure in European competition. If Uzondu adapts well, this could be a major stepping stone in his career.
