Organisers emphasise that the Above 45 Cup goes beyond the boundaries of sport, serving as a vehicle for inclusivity, community building, tradition, and fellowship.
According to the Sports Management Committee, the tournament is designed to strengthen bonds among longstanding members while welcoming new participants into the fold. By dedicating a competitive stage to senior members, IASC affirms its commitment to celebrating experience, wisdom, and athletic spirit.
Over the years, the Above 45 Cup has become a cherished tradition within the club, not only for its sporting intensity but also for its role in fostering networking opportunities and cross-generational collaboration.
The 2025 edition promises to uphold this legacy, reinforcing the values of sportsmanship and camaraderie that remain central to IASC’s mission.
In a statement prepared by Emmanuel Agukwe, Public Relations Officer of the Island Allstars Sports Club, on behalf of the Executive Council, members were urged to participate actively, whether as competitors, supporters, or community builders.
