Sports247 reports that the former Osnabruck of Germany left-back, who got his Super Eagles’ debut during the Unity Cup in London, is on course towards commiting his international future to Nigeria once he plays during Saturday’s game.
The former German youth international declared emphatically that he has no misgivings about his switch in national team allegiance and now wants to contribute in turning around Nigeria’s current shaky standings in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
“I’m feeling good, and I like the good spirit (in the Nigerian camp). I’ll try to bring everything I can onto the pitch and help the team to succeed with the World Cup qualifiers,” said Agu.
Sports247 gathered that the 25-year-old full-back, who played all 90 minutes on Bremen’s 3-3 draw with Bayer Leverkusen last weekend in the German Bundesliga, is already in contention to start on the left side of the Eagles’ defence against Rwanda this Saturday, ahead of previous favourite, Bruno Onyemachi.
