Melita FC, founded in 1933, secured promotion to the Premier League after winning the 2023–24 Challenge League. Under the guidance of coach Clive Mizzi, the club has been strengthening its squad with a mixture of experienced campaigners and promising talents, and Allonida’s arrival is expected to inject attacking firepower into their frontline.

Known for his pace, sharp movement, and instinctive finishing, the young forward is keen to make an immediate impact.

Speaking after signing his contract, Allonida said he was ready to embrace the challenge and repay the club’s faith.

“This move means everything to me,” he said. “From Surulere to Malta, I want to show my hunger for goals and help Melita succeed in the Premier League. I know the expectations are high, but I am here to work hard, score goals, and give my best for the team.”

The Nigerian forward has already begun training with his new teammates. Club officials expressed confidence that his energy and goal-scoring instincts will be vital as Melita look to establish themselves among Malta’s elite.

For Allonida, the move represents his first step into European football, and he is determined to seize the opportunity.

“Every striker dreams of nights like this,” he said. “I am here to write my story with Melita, and the goals will come.”
