The 2025/2025 summer transfer windows shut on Monday, September 1, 2026 in most European countries , we take a look at the Summer Eagles players who move to a new club on loans, permanent move and contract renewal.

Our check shows twenty Super Eagles players refresh their stays in different part of Europe as Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare and Christantus Uche joined the English Premier League to increase the number of Super Eagles in that league to Eight.

Osimhen Headlines Record-Breaking Moves

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen dominated the 2025 summer transfer window after completing a sensational €75 million move from Napoli to Galatasaray, setting a new Turkish transfer record.

The deal includes structured payments and a 10% sell-on clause for Napoli.

Major Transfers Across Europe

Several Nigerian internationals sealed permanent transfers this summer.

Wilfred Ndidi joined Turkish giants Beşiktaş from Leicester City for a reported fee between €8 and €9.5 million, strengthening their midfield ahead of a European campaign.

Paul Onuachu completed his permanent switch to Trabzonspor from Southampton for €5.6 million after impressing on loan last season.

Moses Simon signed for Paris FC in Ligue 1 from Nantes in a deal worth around €7 million.

Cyril Dessers left Rangers for Panathinaikos in Greece for a reported €4.7 million fee.

Loan Deals and Options to Buy

Some Eagles opted for loan spells with future purchase clauses.

Samuel Chukwueze moved from AC Milan to Fulham on a season-long loan, with an option to buy set at around €25–30 million.

Gift Orban joined Hellas Verona from Lyon on loan, with an option reportedly worth €9 million.

Christantus Uche signed on loan for Crystal Palace from Getafe, with an obligation to buy worth around €20 million.

Victor Boniface also left Bayer Leverkusen for Werder Bremen on loan, with an undisclosed option to buy.

Free Transfers and Undisclosed Fees

Several Super Eagles secured moves as free agents.

Henry Onyekuru joined Gençlerbirliği SK in Turkey on a free transfer.

Bright Osayi-Samuel signed for Birmingham City after leaving Fenerbahçe without a fee.

Semi Ajayi and Leon Balogun both completed free transfers to Hull City and Aris Limassol respectively.

Gabriel Osho signed a three-year deal with Cardiff City after leaving Luton Town.

Kelechi Iheanacho reunited with Brendan Rodgers at Celtic following his release from Sevilla.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Fredrick secured a loan from Brentford to Belgian side FCV Dender EH, while Benjamin Tanimu sealed a permanent move to Morocco’s Maghreb de Fès for an undisclosed sum.

Papa Daniel switched from Niger Tornadoes to NK Celje in Slovenia.

Tolu Arokodare completed a permanent transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers from Genk, although the fee remains undisclosed.

The Super Eagles’ presence across Europe and beyond has grown even stronger, with players spread across England, Turkey, France, Germany, and Greece.

Kelechi Iheancho was also confirmed by Celtic 24 hours after the transfer deadline as he joined the Scottish Premiership champions on a free, barely a day his contract was terminated by Sevilla by mutual consent.
