Team Nasarawa’s Emmanuel Joseph’s Taekwondo -45kg Kyorugi match came to an end after Temple Okwudili of Enugu defeated him 8-9 in the on going National Youth Games in Asaba Delta State.
Michael Umudjon reported that Godwin started the fight strong in the Stephen Keshi Stadium having the height advantage, however his Enugu counterpart was able to come back strong to win with just a point.

For Emmanuel Joseph, what ought to be an advantage became a disadvantage: “My Enugu counterpart was shorter than me, and landing a head kick was not easy; however, I managed to land a chest kick, which was not enough.”
Godwin Kasimu will fight later today in the 48kg category against his Lagos counterpart.
Meanwhile, Team Nasarawa has so far won three medals in the games and all are Bronze from Karate event, the athletes are; Chineye Agbo +47kg Girls, Magdaline Inji -47kg Girls and Alexander Otuma -50kg Boys category.
