The final match of the Borno State Division One League drew a host of dignitaries and football stakeholders. Among the attendees were the Representative of the Shehu of Borno, Dr. Sherif Rabiu Ahlan, Sardaunan Makan Bichi, Chairman Kano State FA and NFF Executive Board Member, Speaker of BOSA with some members, Honourable Babale Member representing Kaya Kusur in the Borno State House of Assembly and Chairman/Owner of DMD Football Club, U20 Coordinator Danfulani, the Team Coach Aliyu Zubairu, Zanna Kakaje, Coach of Elkanemi Warriors Kabiru Dogo.
Also present were Mohammed Alkali Achama Sarkiyo, Chairman of Yobe Desert Stars fc, the General Manager of BOSEFA, Representative of GM Borno Express and Prince Abba Kawu, son of the Shehu of Borno. The gathering reflected the unity and collaboration within the football community across Borno, Yobe, and beyond.

A highlight of the ceremony was the special recognition given to Mohammed Alkali Achama Sarkiyo. He was honoured by the Borno State Football Association Chairman, Babagana Kalli Kachallah, for his tireless efforts in advancing football development and ensuring the sport growth in the region. In his remarks, Sarkiyo dedicated the award to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Honourable (Dr) Mai Mala Buni in appreciation of the limitless support given to him and his team.
The event was hosted by Alhaji Babagana Kalli Kachalla Known as (Ozogla), Chairman Borno State FA, Chairman Match Commissioners Committee, Executive Board Member of the NFF, and CAF & FIFA Match Commissioner. It marked a truly historic day for Borno State football, blending celebration, recognition and a shared vision for the future of the game.
