Chairman of the Ogun State Football Association and Executive Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, has applauded the competitive spirit and professionalism displayed by participating teams in this year’s Bet9ja U19 Ogun State League.
Speaking to the Ogun FA media team, Majekodunmi praised the level of play witnessed across various centres, describing the passion, discipline, and commitment of the young players as “impressive and commendable.”

“I must commend the teams for the high level of competition and professionalism displayed so far in this tournament. The discipline and commitment are commendable. I urge all the teams to continue with the same passion and dedication with which they started,” he said.
The Ogun FA boss also lauded the match officials, calling their handling of games “top-notch, fair, and consistent,” adding that such officiating standards are vital for football development at the grassroots.
Day 7 of the competition lived up to expectations, producing thrilling encounters. Emirate 1609 FC overpowered Samba Boys FC 4–1 at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, while VSO FA earned a convincing 3–1 win over Mission Soccer FA.
The Bet9ja U19 Ogun State League resumes on Saturday at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, with more exciting fixtures lined up — Castmog FC face D Peace FA, Benson Phoenix FC take on Rising Stars FC, and Achievers FC battle Talented Boys FC in what promises to be another action-packed day of grassroots football.
