Born in Abia State, southeastern Nigeria, Emole James made the difficult decision to leave his comfort zone behind and head to Abuja in search of a football breakthrough. Driven by his love for the game and a desire to grow, James began his journey far from home—without guarantees, but full of determination.

“Leaving Abia wasn’t easy,” Emole James said. “I had to leave family, friends, and everything I knew. But I believed in myself, and I knew staying in one place wouldn’t get me to where I want to be.”
Now based in Lagos, Emole James is currently training with MIDAS Football Academy, a reputable grassroots institution known for developing top talents. Every day on the pitch is a step forward, as he works tirelessly to improve his technique, physicality, and tactical awareness.
A naturally gifted full-back, James stands out for his versatility—able to play both right and left back with equal comfort. His game is marked by blistering pace, intelligent overlaps, quick recovery, and defensive discipline, making him the prototype of the modern full-back.
“I watch players like Alphonso Davies and João Cancelo,” he added. “I learn from how they support attacks and still get back to defend. That’s the kind of full-back I want to become—reliable, explosive, and fearless.”
Coaches at MIDAS Academy have praised his attitude and work ethic, noting that James is often the first to arrive for training and the last to leave. His hunger is evident, and scouts are beginning to take notice.
Still unsigned by a professional club, James remains focused, knowing his opportunity could come at any moment.
“I’m not in a hurry,” he said. “I just want to be ready when the chance comes. I believe that with consistency and the right mindset, anything is possible.”
