Another battle appears to be hanging ominously ahead of Super Falcons’ coach, Justin Madugu, as his future with the victorious team lies in the hands of the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Sports247 gathered that Madugu served in an interim capacity throughout his period with the Falcons, and at the recent Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, but winning the competition may not be a guarantee for him to be named as the substantive handler of the squad.

This inference was provided by the NFF’s secretary-general, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, who affirmed that a decision on the tactician’s future will be taken in due course by members of the football governing body’s technical committee.
Sanusi also waved aside any suggestion that he could have a hand in deciding Madugu’s fate, stressing that he does not dabble in matters that are outside his line of duty.
“It’s true that we are all happy with what the coach has done, especially as he has won the cup in his first time with the team. But, everyone knows I don’t talk about what is not in my area of duty.
“What I can say is that the technical committee has seen what he has done, and I believe they will make the right decision. Whether interim or substantive, what matters is the result,” the NFF scribe retorted.
