The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially appointed seasoned tacticians Manu Garba and Moses Aduku as head coaches of the national U17 and U20 teams respectively, following the approval of recommendations by its Technical and Development Sub-Committee.
Manu Garba returns as Head Coach of the Golden Eaglets (Nigeria U17 boys) — a role in which he famously led Nigeria to a historic fourth FIFA U17 World Cup title in the United Arab Emirates in 2013.

The experienced coach has since overseen multiple campaigns, including guiding the Eaglets to the 2019 U17 World Cup finals in Brazil.
In the women’s ranks, the NFF named Moses Aduku as Head Coach of the Falconets (Nigeria U20 girls), succeeding Chris Danjuma. Aduku brings a wealth of experience from the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), having managed top sides such as Bayelsa Queens and Edo Queens.

He also served as an assistant coach during the Falconets’ impressive run to the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
Both appointments are strategic as Nigeria prepares for major competitions in the coming months.
The Falconets are scheduled to face Rwanda in a 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture in September, while the Golden Eaglets will compete in the WAFU B U17 Boys Tournament — also in September — which Nigeria will host.
Garba and Aduku are expected to officially resume duties this Sunday to begin preparations with their respective squads.
