Oluehi: “No Room For Complacency—Best Of Falcons Now On Display”

Veteran goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi sounded a determined note after Nigeria’s flawless group-stage run. She emphasized that while the performance was solid, the knockout rounds demand far more.

“We are aware that there will be no room for complacency as a failure to win would mean getting knocked out,” Oluehi said, reflecting on Nigeria’s group-stage shutouts and her own role in maintaining them.

She highlighted that the margin for error narrows significantly beyond the initial stage, urging her teammates to bring their A-game to Morocco.

Oluehi was quick to praise the team’s mental toughness. “The team is strong enough to take on any side,” she added, expressing trust in her teammates across the pitch.

With quarter-final date looming, she vowed that “the best of the Falcons will be on display”—suggesting a heightened focus, sharper play, and unwavering defensive discipline.

Her confidence stems from Nigeria’s group-run sheet: they topped their group without conceding. It’s a campaign that gives her the belief that they can replicate that resilience against Zambia.
