The 10th edition of the prestigious AMAPRO Football Championship is set to kick off on Monday, July 7, 2025, in Ilorin, with defending champions Abraysports FC aiming to make history by securing a third consecutive title.
Abraysports FC, champions in 2023 and 2024, will begin their title defense with a Group A opener against Unity FA at 8:00 a.m. on Pitch A of the Kwara Football Academy (KFA).

Also in Group A, Kasam FC will take on Laycon FA in a simultaneous early kickoff at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl, George Innih Stadium.
In Group B, 2023 finalists and tournament hosts KFA will look to reclaim the crown they lost to Abraysports two years ago when they face Gateway Football Academy at 10:00 a.m. on KFA Pitch A. At the same time, DollyP FA will clash with Dickalo FA at the Main Bowl in what is expected to be a fiercely competitive encounter.
Afternoon fixtures in Group C will see HMK FC go head-to-head with DA Faria SC at 2:00 p.m. on KFA Pitch A, while Gaa Akanbi FC takes on Araba FC at the Main Bowl.
Group D action wraps up the day with two mouthwatering matchups. NPFL All Stars, finalists in 2024, will aim to kick off their campaign on a strong note when they meet Excel FA at 4:00 p.m. at the Main Bowl. Simultaneously, HOP FA will battle Discovery FA on KFA Pitch A.
A total of 16 teams will be competing in this milestone edition of the AMAPRO Football Championship, one of Nigeria’s premier grassroots football tournaments known for unearthing top talents.
The grand finale is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the George Innih Stadium, Ilorin.
