Adeboye Celebrates Sports Reformer Shehu Dikko on His Birthday, Hails His Lasting Impact On Nigerian Sports

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to Mallam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission, on the occasion of his birthday, hailing him as a true reformer, visionary, and pillar of Nigerian sports development.

In a glowing tribute issued today, Hon. Adeboye described Shehu Dikko as “a trailblazer whose passion for football and sports governance has shaped a new era of professionalism, transparency, and growth in Nigeria’s sporting landscape.”

He lauded Dikko’s tenure as the former Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC), crediting him with laying the foundations for a more structured and commercially viable Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Adeboye also praised his current efforts as Chairman of the National Sports Commission, which have aligned closely with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda for youth empowerment and sports as a tool for national unity and economic growth.
