A surge in registrations has hit the 2025 LFLP U17 Taekwondo Championships as the deadline for entry fast approaches.
With just days left before the May 30 registration deadline, organisers report that over 140 participants have already signed up, with more expected in the coming days

Organised by Body Dynamics, the event is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2025, at the Lycee Francais Louis Pasteur (LFLP) Basketball Court in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Thursdaline Peter, CEO of Body Dynamics and head referee in the Taekwondo event at the 22nd National Sports Festival, tagged Gateway Games expressed enthusiasm over the growing interest in the competition’s second edition.
“The response has been fantastic,” Peter said. “This championship is a platform to discover and showcase the future stars of taekwondo in Nigeria.”
Registration remains open in the listed age categories across male and female divisions.
Peewee (4–6 years)
Infant (7–11 years)
Cadet (12–14 years)
Junior (15–17 years)
Competitors will be grouped by weight classes within each category. The LFLP U17 Championships continues to build on its debut edition, aiming to promote youth development and talent discovery in Nigerian taekwondo.
