NFF Names Eight New Faces as Super Eagles Head to Unity Cup

The Nigeria Football Federation has unveiled the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming 2025 Unity Cup, set to take place in Brentford, England, from May 27 to 31. This four-nation tournament will feature Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago.

They have unveiled eight fresh call-ups to the Super Eagles squad. Head coach Eric Chelle has added the following players to the senior team: Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, Junior Nduka, Ojetoye Waliu, Christiantius Uche, Saviour Saviour, Collins Chinemerem, Sikiru Alimi, and Adamu Abubakar

These eight local-based talents will join established internationals. Notably, Premier League midfielders Wilfred Ndidi and Frank Onyeka are included, alongside attackers Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, and Moses Simon.

As Nigeria prepares to face Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago from May 27 to 31, the tournament offers a valuable chance for the newcomers to stake their claim in the national setup and for Coach Chelle to build squad depth ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
