Paulinus disclosed further, “We’ve got invitations to a few tournaments outside the country. So, we are focusing on actually getting people ready for competitions.”
He also spoke about a build-up that has begun towards the West African zonal qualifiers for the World Baseball & Softball Conference World Cup as well as for the Women’s Softball Sevens.

Paulinus pointed out, “We also have qualifying matches with Kenya towards the World 7s. So, we are preparing the ladies for that competition, and Nigeria remains a team to beat.
“In fact, during a meeting with the Nigeria Olympic Committee chairman, we made a promise to do well for the country. He, being a very supportive chairman, promised to back us and ensure that Nigeria qualifies for this international event.”

Paulinus concluded by projecting into the next three years, as he declared: “We are also working towards the 2028 Olympics. Baseball is a very important Olympic sport. So, we are planning on being there in Atlanta in the USA.”
