Victor Osimhen Goes Spiritual, Wants God To Help Galatasaray Win Turkish Double

Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Victor James Osimhen is not taking his team’s strides for granted, as he is seeking divine intervention to help them win the Turkish FA Cup on Wednesday and then go on to seal a domestic double, Sports247 reports.

Though Gala will take on Trabzonspor once again this Wednesday in the Turkish Cup final, Victor has asked for God’s support against the same team his side beat away last weekend in the Turkish Super Lig.

Rather than take their upcoming game as a forgone conclusion for victory, Osimhen wants to stay cautious and reckoned that they still need support from God to wrap it up.

Victory on Wednesday will see Osimhen move closer to his first domestic double as a professional footballer, considering that The Red And Yellow squad are also just one step away from emerging back-to-back champions of the Lig as well.

Osimhen, who failed to score during Saturday’s 2-0 win away to Trabzonspor, added to his spiritual angle about his team’s impending double conquest in The Land of The Ottoman when he disclosed that he has been told they have a tradition of winning the title anytime the season ends in the month of May.

Osimhen stated, “May has been Galatasaray’s birthright. I think they get the title mostly in May. So, this one is no exception. We want to close up this title in the month of May as well as win the Cup final.”

He further pointed out that despite haven just recently beaten Trabzonspor and still enjoying a huge lead ahead of fellow-Istanbul-based giants, Fernebahce, in the Lig, the task ahead will still be tough to achieve.

“We know it’s not going to be easy. So, we will have to buckle up and fight for every game. We will try to get the win on Wednesday and try to make sure we don’t leave anything behind.

“With this kind of display (last Saturday against Trabzonspor), we stand a very big chance to achieve our objective for the season. I am also really hopeful to God that He will help us to achieve it,” Osimhen supplicated.
