NPFL: Fidelis Ilechukwu Signs Contract Extension with Rangers Until 2026

Rangers International FC have officially announced a contract extension for head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, keeping him at the helm of the club until the end of the 2026 season.

The extension was finalized following a high-level meeting with the club’s General Manager/CEO.

Despite a challenging current campaign, the club has expressed confidence in Ilechukwu’s long-term vision and leadership.

Ilechukwu, who led Rangers to a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title last season, has faced a tougher outing this term.

However, his previous success and the team’s belief in his ability to rebuild and compete have earned him a renewed mandate.

In addition to his role at Rangers, Ilechukwu is also the current assistant coach of Nigeria’s senior national team, the Super Eagles.

He first rose to national prominence with MFM FC, a modest church-backed club, leading them to the CAF Champions League on a lean budget.

However, the details of the extension wasn’t released yet but in the coming days.
