Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt have stormed into the semi-finals of the 2025 Women’s President Federation Cup after a tense penalty shootout win over Remo Stars Ladies.

In another quarter-final showdown, Nasarawa Amazons delivered a ruthless performance, thrashing Sunshine Queens 4-0 to underline their title credentials and book a place in the last four.

Ibom Angels also advanced to the semi-finals in dramatic fashion, overcoming Heartland Queens 4-3 on penalties after both sides finished 1-1 at the end of regulation time.

Defending NWFL champions, Edo Queens, narrowly escaped an upset against giant-killers Unification Ladies.

A late penalty from Goodness Osigwe was all Edo needed to clinch a 1-0 win and keep their dream of back-to-back titles alive.

The semi-final fixtures are now set: Rivers Angels will lock horns with Ibom Angels in a South-South derby, while Edo Queens face off against Nasarawa Amazons in a much-anticipated clash between two of Nigeria’s women’s football powerhouses.
