Tampa Bay Bucaneers’ new draft in USA’s National Football League (NFL), Emeka Egbuka has reeled out a chain of exciting reactions that followed the official announcement of his selection as a professional player in the high profile championship.
Sports247 reports that Egbuka, who was born 23 years ago in Washington DC to a Nigerian father and American mother, whose dad was a mayor, is now set to step up into the professional ranks of American Football, USA’s version of rugby, and the youngster confessed that he is deeply excited about it.

Egbuka enters the paid ranks with a huge pedigree, which includes Washington-Gatorade Player of The Year 2020, during his days at Stellacoom High School, and five-star recruit status when he moved to Ohio State College in January 2021.
The youngster, who skipped his last year at high school in order to step up into collegiate action with Ohio State Buckeyes, made the second term All Big Ten in 2022, emerged CFP national championship in 2024 and recently became career reception leader; all of which justified his selection by Bucaneers as number 19th pick in the first round of the NFL’s 2025 draft.
“I’m excited to be here and among the guys. I’m honestly really excited to get started,” said the fast-rising wide receiver, who was born on October 14th, 2002 in Tacoma area of Washington.
Egbuka added, “It’s been a bit of a whirlwind since I got the call. It was 7.15pm Pacific Centre Time when I got the call, and I was able to celebrate with my friends and family.
“I appreciate all the nine million people who were celebrating with me at my jam party, and the night never really stopped. We were all really excited; after which I got up early in the morning to catch the flight and now I’m here.”
