Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi was named Man of the Match following Nigeria’s 0-0 draw with Morocco in their second Group B game at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking after the match, Bameyi admitted the result wasn’t what the team had prepared for, but stressed the importance of staying focused.
“It’s not the kind of game we prepared for, not the result we wanted, but we still need to move forward,” he said.
“Not losing is what keeps us going. Qualification is number one in our minds, so we’re going to take the last game very seriously. For us, it’s all about one game at a time.”
