The workshop, scheduled for May 6th–7th at the Media Centre of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, is themed “Reset, Refocus and Relaunch the Nigerian Sports Sector for Greater Performance.” It reflects the NSC’s commitment to cultivating a dynamic and economically robust sports industry.
Dubbed “Striving for Excellence,” the initiative will provide NSC personnel — the frontline implementers of its new strategic agenda — with essential tools, knowledge, and perspectives to enhance productivity and service delivery across the sector.
Speaking ahead of the event, Director of Elite Athletes Mr. Olumide Bamiduro emphasized the importance of equipping sports officers with contemporary, globally-aligned expertise.
“It is critical to train the sports officers because we aspire for them to work with updated knowledge of global best practices, especially at the elite level of sports performance,” he said.
Bamiduro added that participants will undergo high-impact sessions centered on innovation, accountability, and strategic planning — all tailored to support the Commission’s evolving goals and unlock the full potential of the Nigerian Sports Economy..
