The journey to glory began with a convincing 3-1 win over Chekas United, setting the tone for a campaign built on resilience, talent, and tactical brilliance. In the quarter-finals, they faced a gritty Seamoriow FC side, with the match ending goalless in regulation time. Emiloju FC held their nerve and triumphed 3-2 on penalties.

Their semi-final clash with Inspired Sports Academy was a thriller, ending 2-2 in regular time. Once again, it was Emiloju’s brilliant goalkeeper, Chijindu Miracle Anaikwe, who emerged the hero, saving the decisive spot kick in a nerve-racking 5-4 penalty shootout victory.

In the grand finale, it was Segun Ajengele who stepped up with a moment of magic. His stunning solo effort proved to be the winner, as Emiloju FC edged ISAGT FC 1-0 to lift the prestigious 2025 Joe Aribo Cup.

The tournament featured sixteen of the top football academies in Lagos State, but it was Alhaji Musiliu Jimoh Alao’s Emiloju FC that stood tall once again — showcasing discipline, determination, and championship spirit.

Speaking after the final whistle, Chairman Alhaji Musiliu Jimoh Alao expressed immense pride in his players and praised the tournament organizers for their commitment to youth development:

“There are many competitions out there, but this one stands out. I commend the organizers for a well-run event and must equally commend my players for their discipline, dedication, and focus. These back-to-back wins are a result of their hard work.”

With this latest victory, Emiloju Football Club has officially added another trophy to its rapidly growing cabinet, sending a clear message: they are the team to beat in Nigerian youth football.
