Bavis Sports Institute annual camping program got into center stage once again in Ifo and its environs in Ogun State soar this August as the 4th edition of the Bavis Summer Camp takes centre stage.
Sports enthusiasts, families, and community members are expected to troop to the venues to cheer their favourite teams and witness the birth of the next generation of football stars.
Organised by Bavis Sports Institutes, the same outfit behind the annual Kowope Football Championship, Ayomide Gold Cup and, Ozoya Soccer League U13.
The competition promises an exciting showcase of young talent and community pride. The tournament officially opened on Sunday, 10 August 2025, with the kick off on Wednesday, 13 August 2025 after a screening process for all the age grade categories. Coaches seminar was done on Saturday, 16 August 2025. The grand finale and closing ceremony scheduled for Thursday, 25 August 2025.
Several categories ranging from U10, U13, U15, U17, free age, female and athletes will battle for glory across one venue; African Church Primary School, Alaja Abule-Ogun Ifo.
The competition will feature over 100 thrilling matches, ensuring weeks of pulsating action for fans and scouts alike.
The organisers emphasised that the aim is to nurture young talent, inspire sportsmanship, and encourage promising athletes to pursue professional careers.
Bavis Summer Camp is a two weeks program for grassroots football players and athletes. This event is projected to set standards for the grassroots football system and help young aspiring players to showcase their talents. The annual event has been creating an enabling environment for the Young ones.
Currently the camp is in the preliminary round and the educative seminar for Coaches was just concluded with the presence of a great tutor Coach James Adeshina as the guest lecturer. Coaches Education has been paramount and integral part of the camping program.
