Today marks the 40 years to the day on March, 22 1980 that a group of young and aspiring Nigerian footballers won the African Cup of Nations for their country for the first time and created history. The 1980 Nigeria Green Eagles. Saturday, 22nd March 1980 – Saturday, 22nd March 2020.
