3SC Management Hails Gov Makinde Over Honourable Olaniyan’s Appointment As Club’s Sole Administrator

The Management of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, has hailed the appoinment of Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan as the Sole Administrator of the club by the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.

Governor Makinde on Thursday, through a press release, signed by Taiwo Adisa, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, announced the appointment of the former Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Reacting to the development, the management of the Oluyole Warriors, in a statement signed by the Acting General Manager, Dimeji Lawal, described the appointment of the retired grade one referee, and a Premier League Match Commissioner, who is also the founder of the Oyo State Football Referee Academy, as a round peg in a round hole.

“Indeed, the appointment of Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan, fondly called Akoro, as the Sole Administrator of this great club, is nothing but a right step in the right direction.

“Going by his antecedents, Honourable Olaniyan is a right choice for the job. He is a tested and trusted hand, who will definitely bring his wealth of experience to bear in leading the Oluyole Warriors to greater heights

“Honourable Olaniyan, is an ardent lover of the Shooting Stars, who always supports the club with his words of advise.

“While we use this medium to congratulate Honourable Olaniyan on his new appointment and to also wish him success in his new task, we also use this avenue to appreciate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Abiodun Makinde, for further showing interest in the Shooting Stars with the appointment of a technocrat to head the club.

“Governor Seyi Makinde, has further demonstrated his love for Shooting Stars and his resolve to take the club back to its rightful place as far as the round leather game is concerned both in Nigeria and on the continent. We can not but continue to thank His Excellency for his commitment to the club’s progress”.
