This year’s Easter Monday promises to be loaded with a touch of festivities and the best of community football action, as it will witness the final of 3rd Chief Adeseko Olugbenga Benson Kids Cup in Kwara State, Sports247 reports.
The road to Monday’s final became clearer on day three of the annual competition, when both semi-final matches took place this past Thursday, much to the delight of the teeming spectators who gathered en masse to witness two pulsating encounters at the same venue.

In the first match of the competition’s last-four stage, Alabama Football Academy defeated Legend Football Academy 3-0; after which Arsenal Kiddies Football Academy floored Wisdom Football Academy 5-2 in a seven-goal thriller.
That paved way for what promises to be a highly-entertaining climax of all encounters in the well-acclaimed ‘Chief Benson Cup,’ as Alabama Football Academy will take on Arsenal Kiddies Football Academy at 4pm in the grand finale; which will be preceeded by the third place match between Wisdom Football Academy and Legend Football Academy at 3pm.
Organisers of the competition enthused that the best of youth football at the grassroots will be on offer, while also assuring that there will be enough security for all spectators who want to use the match as part of their Easter Monday celebrations.
They also reiterated that the competition’s able sponsor has made provision for adequate welfare and refreshment that will be given all the players, coaches and officials; while prizes, awards, medals and certificates will also be presented during the closing ceremony.
