A total of 30 teams have been confirmed as duly registered to participate in the 3rd aawo Youth Cup, which begins this Friday at Ogijo Community School, located near Ikorodu, on the border between Lagos and Ogun States.
Sports247 gathered that some of the teams come under the same academy or club managements, as registrations are allowed in under-13, under-17 and free age categories.

The competition’s under-13 cadre has the highest number of entries, as a total of 15 teams will tussle for the top prize, while the under-17 level has nine competing squads and the free age section has six entries.
Media officer of the competition, Ralph Esene disclosed emphatically that the previously rested but now revitalised Awo Cup promises to be truly exciting, as it will run all the way to three grand finals on December 14th.
He also disclosed that thirs pkave matches will hold in each of the three categories on December 13th, with the competition’s Belgium-based sponsor, Emmanuel Olakunle Awosanmi expected to be in attendance.
