2026 ITTF World Para Table Tennis Championships: Bidding Opens For Prestigious Para-sport Event

The ninth ITTF World Para Championships is set to be special as the bids for the ITTF World Para Table Tennis Championships 2026 open with invitations to cities and member associations to contribute to the storied history of the sport.

PHASE 1: Bidding Phase (19 September to 14 November 2023)

Interested Member Associations may start submitting bids with a final deadline of 14 November 2023.

PHASE 2: Evaluation Phase (15 November to 31 December 2023)

Evaluation and inspection of bids

PHASE 3: Selection Phase (Estimated at the end of February 2024)

Final Presentations and voting of the host by the ITTF Council

World titles in the following categories comprise the schedule:

Women’s Singles (Classes 1 – 11)
Men’s Singles (Classes 1 – 11)
Women’s doubles (Classes to be decided)
Men’s doubles (Classes to be decided)
Mixed doubles (Classes to be decided)

Organized in the fourth quarter of 2026 with a maximum of 340 players accepted, the tournament involves seven competition days.
