2026 Edo State NDG’s: Unity Touch Arrives Delta State.

All is set as Team Delta received the Nigeria Delta Games “Touch of Unity” on Monday at the state capital.

The Touch was received by Delta State Chairman of Sports Commission, Hon. Onos Oborewovori, from Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme, representing Governor Sheriff Oborewovori.

The event was attended by Commission Director General of Sports Emuobo Egalase, Football Association Chairman Godwin Adode, athletes, and stakeholders. The Sports Commission Chairman commended Dunamis Icon and NDDC for the initiative to prepare South-South athletes and discover future stars.

Managing Director of Dunamis Icon, Sir Itiakpo Ikpokpo, said facilities are ready and advised states to play by the rules and avoid age cheating. The Unity Touch was handed over to NDDC representatives and former Nigeria female swimming champion Blessing Forcadoes for onward transition to Ondo State.

With 4 days to kickoff, states are expected at the Edo State event on February 19, with the opening ceremony on February 20 at 5:30pm at Sam Ogbemudia Stadium.
