The Nigerian duo fought back from two sets down to defeat Algeria’s Morice Jade and Mehdi Bollousa 3–2 in a thrilling five-set encounter.

Elsewhere, Morocco’s Benchat Marius and Theophile Yassine delighted the home crowd with an impressive 3–1 win over Egypt’s Mostafa Badr and Mahmoud Helmy, booking their spot in the men’s doubles Round of 16.
The Moroccan pair displayed composure and precision to seal the match in front of an energetic audience.
South Africa also celebrated success as the experienced duo of Abrahams Luke and Nathoo Chetan cruised past Mingashanga Bertin and Diamuangana Diawaku Djo of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Their 3–1 victory in the men’s doubles opener reflected their chemistry and consistency as long-time partners.
