2025 AMAPRO Football Championship Gets July 7th Kick Off Date

The 2025 AMAPRO Football Championship has been to get underway Monday July 7, 2025 in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The announcement was made on Monday by the President of AMAPRO African Development Programme, Shogo Shodunnke.

Shodunnke stated that this year’s edition promises to bring new developments, innovation, thrills and entertainment as the latest partnership with EyeBall will provide accurate match statistics and player analysis.

“We are opening up a new layers to what we used to have in terms of transparency, commitment to close the gap between the amateurs and professional footballers,” Shodunnke said in the release.

“With the help of Eyeball, our new partners, not only that the players, especially the young one will be given optimum visibility, coaches and scouts will also have an opportunity to access their teams and study their prospective clients.”

The tournament will feature 16 teams, maintaining its traditional format.

In preparation for this year’s tournament, the organizers have unveiled a new leadership structure to oversee the day-to-day operations.

Abdulazeez Abdulkareem has been appointed as the AMAPRO Project Coordinator.

Oladimeji Oladele, a FIFA-licensed agent, will head the Talents Identification and Player’s Pathways department while Ampitan Tope will oversee Safety, Logistics, and Protocol, ensuring a smooth and secure experience for participants and spectators.

Idowu Bakare will be in charge of International Business and Networking, while Jide Oluwaseun will manage the event.

Damilola Alagbe has been appointed Head of Communication and Relations, and Wale Mustapha will lead Marketing and Promotion efforts.

The visual aspects of the tournament will be covered by Adeniyi Muyiwa as Head of Photography and Ndackson Musa Eric will be the Head of Audiovisuals with Mustapha Abdulrazaq as his Assistant.

With this strong team in place, the 2025 AMAPRO Football Championship is shaping up to be an exciting event.

The partnership with EyeBall is expected to bring a new level of expertise to the tournament, providing valuable insights and opportunities for the participating teams and players.

Abraysports FC are the defending champions, having emerged victorious in the 2024 final against NPFL All Stars.
