Nigeria’s Super Falcons will begin their quest for a record-extending 10th title at the 2024 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with a Group B opener against Tunisia on Sunday, July 7 at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco.
The mission which has been tagged Mission X will begin as Justin Magudu tutored girls wrapped their preparations for this competition and a win in the opener is most desirable to set the right tone for the mission ahead.

The Kick-off is scheduled for 17:00 local time (16:00 GMT / 5:00 PM Nigerian time).

Head-to-Head Record
Though the Super Falcons are the overwhelming favorite going into the match but nothing separates both side as far as the previous encounter between the two sides ended goalless.
Their first and only previous encounter came during the 2008 edition in Equatorial Guinea, where both teams battled to a goalless draw in the group stage.
This will be the second-ever meeting between Nigeria and Tunisia in WAFCON history.
Stakes
Nigeria enters the match as the most successful team in the tournament’s history, with 9 titles, while Tunisia will be looking to make a strong statement after qualifying for back-to-back WAFCON editions.
