2023 NNL Playoff: Sporting Lagos Lead Southern Conference As Matches Continue Today

Sporting Lagos now top Southern Conference group with 3 points and 1 goal, leaving Heartland and Stormers in 2nd and 3rd position with a point each, while Fc One Rocket occupied last position with no point.

It wasn’t a good start for the Naze Millionaire as Heartland Fc were made to settle for a barren draw against Stormers Fc of Abeokuta in their opener on Sunday.

Heartland Fc Coach Christian Obi admitted that his boys were wasteful in front of goal and failed to convert chances that came their way which will be corrected in their next game against Fc One Rocket.

But after Fc One Rocket narrowly lost 1-0 to Sporting Lagos following a late minute strike by Odafi Emmanuel, their match day 2 fixture with Heartland by 2pm on Monday promises to be explosive with coach Ndubisi Idah never say die strategy.

Meanwhile, Coach Paul Offor of Sporting Lagos has commended his boys for yielding to instructions in a well entertained game as they won 1-0 against Fc One Rocket.

He however warned that they will not be carried away with the victory as they will be more committed against Stormers by 4pm.
