2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup Qualifiers: Lagos Legends Tip Super Eagles To Fly Past Black Stars

As Africa focuses on the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup qualification games across different parts of the continent, some of the matches slated for today, have been tagged as titanic in view of their historical backgrounds.

Expectedly, the Ghana against Nigeria tie coming up this Friday evening in Kumasi have been generating lots of innuendos and remarks from football fans and aficionados.

Members of Lagos Legends Club, a group of ex-footballers who once plied their trades in Lagos, have thrown their massive weights behind the Super Eagles. Speaking on their expectations, they expressed unflinching optimism that Nigeria would triumph and qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.

Taiwo Oloyede, former captain of Stationery Stores Football Club, advised soccer-loving Nigerians to be calm and support the team. He added that the boys are good enough to pick the world cup ticket.

Former Super Eagles winger, Wasiu Ipaye, remarked that the boys are in good hands. As he noted that the experience of Coach Austin Eguavoen, would put the team in good stead to perform well against their Ghanaian counterparts.

On his part, the convener of the LLC, former Super Eagles midfield maestro, Waidi Akanni, stated that all members of LLC, home and diaspora, as well as, the whole of Nigeria, are solidly behind the Super Eagles to perform well and qualify for the World Cup in Qatar.
