Young Deltans have been invited to send in their designs for the Mascot that will be selected for use in the first ever Delta State Local Governments Sports Festival.
According to a statement released by the Local Organizing Committee, LOC, the winning design will be unveiled on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.
The statement states that all entries should be submitted to info@deltastatelgasportsfestival.com on or before Friday, December 27, 2019.
It notes that a special prize will be awarded to the winner, adding that late entries will not be accepted.
The Delta State Local Governments Games, with the theme: using sports to change lives, will take place early 2020.
The Games will feature athletics, chess, football, swimming, tennis, amongst other sports, and it is strictly for athletes between ages of 14 and 18.
