Edo Queens football club of Benin have qualified for the round of 16 in the ongoing women Aiteo cup competition after putting up an incredible performance against YEF Queens at the Agege Stadium in Lagos, sports247.ng can report

The Benin girls were unstoppable as they humiliated their opponents, YEF Queens of Oyo State by a record 21 goals to nothing at the Agege Stadium on Tuesday morning.
Helen Doltie opened scoring for the Coach Godwin Izilein tutored side at the dot of two minutes, while Temitope Temidayo scored two goals within seven minutes of kick-off time to make it 3-0 within ten minutes.

The Edo FA cup champions did not stop at that as they went on to prove a point that they have got something to show to their opponents this season by continuing the goal rush to make it 8-0 under twenty minutes of play.

Speaking after the 21-0 routing, the Technical Director of the Benin based team Godwin Izilein said: ‘’Despite our outing in this game, I’m not comfortable with the team; this is our first national outing after playing in the State Aiteo FA Cup. Now that we are qualified for the round of 16, I want my players to know that this is just the beginning of the journey. With today’s game scoreline, our next opponents will know that Edo queens mean business. Our dream is to win the Aiteo Cup for our state and we have a bigger challenge now because every team will want to beat Edo Queens because of this result’’
“However, as I said before, we are not afraid of any team we know we have a bigger challenge before us now, we will go back and work hard for our next game. What we want from the Edo State government is support. Ojieva delivers

We have promised to deliver the AITEO Cup to the state governor, and by the special grace of God, we are winning it.
We have a bigger task ahead of us, we are going back home to start preparing for the next round because we know that bigger teams are waiting for us.”
