14 Players Retain As Ekiti United Resume Training Ahead NNL New Season

14 players have been asked to report to camp on Sunday as Ekiti United kick-starts preparation for the forthcoming 2022-2023 Nigeria National League, NNL.

Confirming this report, the media and communications Officer of Ekiti-based NNL club, Gbenga Adeleye told Sports247.ng that the 14 players have been notified to resume on Sunday, while the new 16 players would join them ahead of the new season.

“Presently the club has retained 14 players and the coaching crew led by Kehinde Anjorin shortlisted 16 players at the trials organized late last year. So far so good, 30 players with officials would resume camp on Sunday in preparation for the NNL new season,” he said.

Adeleye revealed that players are to arrive on the same day while the physical checks and prayer session will commence on Monday 16, 2023 by 8 a.m. at the club Secretariat, Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, Ado-Ekiti.

Head coach of Ekiti United, Anjorin said the team are fully prepared to resume and noted that more friendly matches and opening screening would be done before the commencement of the league.

“Ekiti United are ready to resume and players are happy to play again after a long holiday.

“We have a lot to do before the commencement of the league because our target is to give our fans, supporters, and people of Ekiti the promotion ticket to the premier league at the end of the season,” he said.
