The 10th edition of Chuma Anosike Cricket Championship has kicked off in Awka, the championship is sponsored by Chuma Anosike, Chairman of Anambra Cricket Association, and it is for five states in the South East —- Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo.
Ikem Asika, a member of the championship’s Local Organising Committee (LOC), said the competition would feature both female and male categories.
He said Anambra and Ebonyi were the only states featuring in the female category.
Asika said the championship now in its 10th edition would serve as a major warm-up for teams which qualified for the 20th National Sports Festival (NSF) tagged “Edo 2020’’.
